Decision Making

A Decision Maker has excellent critical thinking skills.  They are logical thinkers, and once made, they are confident in their decisions. Also they understand that to make the best decisions, you need all the facts, details, and feedback.  Good decision makers take suggestions and input from their coworkers, clients and other work relationships. However, they often are leaders first, and it is themselves personally who analyze situations and make final decisions.

Good decision makers are not perfectionists.  Rather they realize that no one can always make the right or perfect decision as they are practiced in making the best, "quickly needed" decisions.  Furthermore, they use errors in judgment to help them improve their decision-making and job skills, such as problem solving or good communicationIn addition, decision making is an essential skill for anyone in a management position whose decisions affect many people.
